Ride63 Ride 63 Community Cycle Club based out of the Castle Semple Centre, Lochwinnoch & Geilsland, Beith.

Ride 63 CCC was created by Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park with the objective to help develop & improve the cycling infrastructure as well as promoting and encouraging the participation in safe recreational cycling in the area roughly covered by the Ordnance Survey Landranger map sheet 63. Our home is Lochwinnoch (Renfrewshire) but our rides take part on the roads throughout Renfrewshire, North Ayrs

hire, Inverclyde & East Renfrewshire with the occasional foray to Argyle & Bute. We are entirely non-competitive in our outlook with an emphasis on sociable but challenging riding on the road. We try to cater for a wide range of cycling ability below that of competitive club rider but we don't teach people to ride bikes. If you can ride a bike and want to become a self-sufficient cyclist, then you are just the sort of person we are looking for. Our aim is to provide a home for those who want to cycle with others without the pressure of needing to keep up a with a fast group all of the time. We only have three criteria for membership: 1) Are you aged 18 or over? 2) Can you ride a bike safely & competently on the road? 3) Do you fit in with the ethos of the club? If you can answer 'yes' to the first two questions why not come along & see if we are the kind of club you are looking for?

If you wish to cycle with Ride63 you will need to be a member of the Club. The only exception is if you are a guest of a member coming along for a ride or two or a brand new potential member trying us out for size for up to three rides. This is for insurance purposes so we need to be strict about it. For the purposes of Data Protection we need to get everyone to renew their membership annually.

Membership of the Club is required if you want to buy Club clothing from Tempus Cycling, belong to our Strava & Zwift clubs or to vote at the AGM.

You do not need to be a member if you simply want to come along to our social events and if you are a member you don't have to actually ride your bike!

New members are very welcome at any time.

To become a member of Ride 63, please click on the link and complete the form. https://forms.gle/ywajkPLYKfhpewtt6

You should receive an email confirming your membership and outlining the terms & conditions of taking part in Club rides. Please read it carefully.

Membership is valid from January 2026 to 31st March 2027. All existing memberships will lapse on 31st March this year.

Ride safe!

Sometimes at the shed we let ourselves venture a little further afield. We even go to the lengths of leaving the comfort of the shed in Dalry behind.
Every Friday is earmarked as our day for a bit of fresh air and exercise.
And takes the form of what we call “The Friday Cycle”

Yesterday saw 9 in total sit down in the visitors centre at Castle Semple.
It’s a social cycle and we gather outside the shed in Dalry before leaving at 10:00am and using back roads and cycle paths make our way to Lochwinnoch.
It’s definetely not a race and the aim of the cycle is to improve mental and physical health and well-being.
All are welcome to join, so if there’s a bike gathering dust in a garden shed then look it out and get cycling. The only thing we ask is that people wear cycling helmets for safety.
There’s so much more goes on with our cycling contingency, and we’ll put more posts up about our summer excursions and the bike repair we carry out.

It would be a FREE event, with a FREE prize draw and would include refreshments! ☕

Is this something you would attend?
