🥎 THE HAWKS ARE HEADING TO THE SINCC 2026! 🦅

We’re incredibly proud to share that our Lisburn Hawks have earned the opportunity to represent Softball Ulster at the Softball Ireland National Club Championships – SINCC Challenge Cup! 🇮🇪

After a fantastic season, the Hawks will travel to ALSAA, Dublin on Saturday 19th September to take on the champions from across Ireland. 💪

🏆 LISBURN HAWKS COMPLETE THE PERFECT SEASON! 🏆

Lisburn Hawks 26–11 Bangor Barracudas
📅 Sunday 6th September
📍 Ward Park, Bangor

Lisburn Hawks brought an incredible season to a fitting close on Sunday with a 26–11 victory over Bangor Barracudas, completing an undefeated Division B campaign and confirming the Hawks as Division B Champions!

With an invincible season on the line, any early nerves were quickly put to bed as the Hawks exploded for an incredible 14 runs in the first inning, taking control of the game from the outset.

It was a huge batting performance from the entire team, with almost everyone recording at least two hits as the Hawks piled on the runs. The power was on full display too, with four home runs, coming from Eugene, Andy, Simon A and Simon L. 💣💣💣💣

There were plenty of highlights in the field as well. Caitlin battled through extremely difficult wind conditions, while Ulty produced one of the plays of the game with an incredible diving catch at third base. 🥎

The win caps off a remarkable league season for the Hawks. 12 games. 12 wins. 318 runs scored. Division B Champions. 🏆

Next season brings a new challenge as the Hawks return to Division A, but there’s still more softball to come this year.

The Hawks will now head to the Softball Ireland National Club Championships (SINCC), representing Ulster in the new Challenge Cup.

What a season. What a team.

Eagles soar past Sluggers at Wallace Park 🦅🥎

Lisburn Eagles 18–2 Scrabo Sluggers

Lisburn Eagles produced a commanding all-round performance on Sunday afternoon, defeating Scrabo Sluggers 18–2 at Wallace Park.

The Eagles got off to a flying start with four runs in the opening inning before a huge 13-run second inning put them firmly in control. Another run followed in the third, while the Eagles defence shut the Sluggers out after their two runs in the opening inning.

It was an excellent defensive display across the field. Nick was involved in two outs at second, combining with Terry and Glenn, while Terry and Charlotte linked up for an out at third. Alby and Glenn also combined to record another out at second.

There was plenty to celebrate in the outfield too, with Nick, Marty and Faith all taking excellent catches.

One of the defensive highlights of the game was a superb relay from Rebecca in right field, through Terry at shortstop and on to Charlotte at third, to get the runner out. Keith, behind the plate, also combined with Laura at first for another well-worked out.

At the plate, the Eagles showed patience and discipline throughout, backed up by smart baserunning that kept the pressure on the Sluggers defence.

A convincing 18–2 victory and a strong team performance from the Eagles, with contributions coming from right across the lineup.

🏆 Huge congratulations to our club mate Simon who has been named June’s Sport Lisburn & Castlereagh Sports Personality of the Month! 👏

Simon proudly represented Team Ireland at the WPC/AWPC European Championships in Limerick, where he became M2 110kg European Champion and brought home a very well-deserved gold medal! 🥇🇮🇪

He also set two new Irish National Records with an incredible 135kg bench press and 250kg deadlift! 💪

An amazing achievement and a true reflection of Simon’s hard work, discipline and dedication. Everyone at Lisburn Softball Club is incredibly proud of you, Simon—massive congratulations!

🎉 Hawks secure Division B title and promotion! 🎉

Lisburn Hawks 29–4 Belfast Angels
Monday 24 August | Hydebank Playing Fields

Lisburn Hawks secured the Division B title—and promotion back to Division A—with a commanding 29–4 victory over Belfast Angels at Hydebank Playing Fields.

The Hawks delivered an outstanding all-round performance, combining relentless hitting with sharp defence and excellent pitching. Every player recorded a hit as Lisburn piled on 29 runs, taking their remarkable season total to 292 runs across 11 games.

Simon produced a huge performance on both sides of the ball. At the plate, he launched two home runs—including his first grand slam—and finished with seven RBIs. From the pitching circle, he conceded only one walk across 28 Angels at-bats, consistently giving the defence opportunities to make plays.

Ash contributed three doubles and five RBIs, while Ulty added three singles and drove in four runs! The Hawks’ offence applied pressure throughout the game.

The performance was just as impressive defensively. The Hawks’ outfielders made several excellent catches, while the infield completed a double play and narrowly missed out on a couple more. That disciplined team effort restricted Belfast to only five runs.

With the Division B title and promotion now secured, the Hawks have one final challenge ahead: Bangor Barracudas at Ward Park on Sunday 6 September at 2pm.

One game remains—and the champions will be aiming to finish their season in style. 🏆🦅💛
