We play Saturday league cricket in the Cotswold District league (so all games are local!) and participate in the mid week T20 cotswold league. We host All Stars and Dynamos for junior players aged 5-11 years old and run an inclusive under 9s team for boys and girls. We would be delighted to hear from players of all levels wishing to join the Club. We are a friendly, community-based club within wal

king distance from the town centre. Accredited Clubmark and Focus Club by the ECB

🏏 Lechlade Cricket Club — Through the Years 🏏
Stories from the archives, dating back to 1886...
Legends like John Freeth (Captain for many years, son of the Club President) and faithful servants like Tony Skull (Secretary from 1959, Honorary Life Member) helped keep the club alive through its toughest periods.
The 2nd XI ran until 1953, when a lack of members brought it to an end — but the club pushed on.
Finances were always tight: an opening balance of just £56 in 1948, rising to £177 by 1968, funded by subscriptions, donations, whist drives and sweepstakes. By 1983/84, the credit balance had grown to £2,249.
Old fixtures against Oxford Downs and Witney Old Grammarians have been lost to time, but the rivalry with Oxford Citizens lives on.
The late 1960s brought an influx of newcomers to Lechlade — and with them, a transformation in the club's administration and social life.
