Locks need portaging after 6.30pm until 9.30am. Plus during the day, lock keepers will monitor use of locks when full of craft.

The swans are taking pride of place tonight. We thought one of the cygnets had died in the reeds but after moving two adults and two cygnets away, Chris (new member) went closer and realised it was alive. Luckily I had my kayak knife with me and Chris managed to cut the braided fishing line which had wrapped around both feet, wings, body and the neck. We then transported the cygnet back up to its family. Feeling very happy.
4 canoes, 8 kayaks, 12 members and one potential member on the water tonight.
