Last night marked our final social of the season, and after an evening of shirt signing and a few tears, it’s safe to say we’re not quite ready for it to be over.
This year has brought plenty to celebrate. From successes on court, to growing the club in ways we never thought possible, I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved together. But more than anything, I’m proud of the people behind those achievements.
The hard work, dedication and commitment shown by everyone this year has been incredible. It has been so special to watch the club develop, not only as players and teams, but as a community. The support, friendships and culture within County Netball is something I’m immensely proud of, and something that people both inside and outside the club, always recognise.
Whether you’ve played every minute of every game, turned up to training each week, supported from the sidelines or simply come along to socials, thank you. Every single person has played a part in making this club what it is.
A special mention has to go to our graduates. Thank you for everything you’ve given to CCNc over the years. Your impact on this club has been immeasurable and while we’re all so excited to see what comes next for you, the club won’t be the same without you. You’ve set the standard and left behind a legacy that will continue long after you’ve gone.
As president, this year has been one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences of my university life. Watching this club grow and seeing everything we’ve achieved together has been an absolute privilege.
Thank you for the memories, the laughs, the Wednesday nights we’ll never forget and the ones we probably don’t remember.
Best of luck ladies, old girls weekend will be a belter 💙💛💙💛
