Hi all, on Thursday the 16th of April and Thursday 30th of April a party has booked the whole lake so we will be closed to all other anglers.
We are open for business as usual on all other dates.
We are currently fishing well to dries and buzzers and we have had some stonking big brownies caught on larger fry imitations. 🎣 🎣🎣

Bank House is fishing really well at the moment.
The recent rain and has sunk all the flotsam that was lying on the surface, and there is a plethora of aquatic insects and small roach fry to keep the trout active and in feeding mode.
There are quite few different methods working well at the moment.
Dries are taking some nice fish. Sedge and emerging buzzers are probably the top picks. Dries are a good way to target the spartic and brown trout.
Buzzers under the indicator, or buzzers fished on the washing line, are proving productive.
Likewise, snakes and roach fry imitations stripped back quickly are getting good results. If you fancy targeting some of the big fry feeding trout in Bank House, a sparkler b***y or minkie retrieved back across the surface can be a killer method. It's really exciting as well! You get some explosive takes!
The weather conditions on the day will determine which of the methods will be the most productive, or perhaps you will find another way!

NEWS FLASH!
ROGUE TAGGED TROUT AT LARGE IN BANK HOUSE FLY FISHERY
To celebrate Christmas and New Year 2021 we have released rogue tagged trout, all of which have a bounty on their heads.
Each tagged trout caught will earn their captor a free bottle of fizz or a cracking tackle prize.
Best of all there is no entry fee! When you visit Bank House over Christmas and the New Year you automatically become a bounty hunter for the day. Completely FOC!
The rogue tagged trout include rainbows, blues, browns, spartics and tigers so you’ll need to check every fish that you catch.
When you catch a tagged fish just remove the tag and hand it in to us to claim your bounty.
We will keep the tagged rogue trout population topped up right through the Christmas period.

As from today, 7th January, Bank House Fly Fishery is OPEN. We still have tagged fish roaming the waters and look forward to seeing (or speaking!) to you soon! We have the water circulation on and are ice free. If anglers could please ring to book ( 01524 770412) and pre-pay, as we have limited numbers and don't want to disappoint anyone. A huge thank you to the Angling Trust for all their continued hard work and to yourselves for your continued support. Please also continue to adhere to the Government guidelines for travel and social distancing. We need everyone to be sensible and keep themselves and others safe.

Charlotte and I would like thank everyone that has supported us throughout this difficult year. By way of thanks we are releasing 10 tagged fish into Bank House. Each will earn the captor a Christmas prize, which include, bottles of Champagne, tackle prizes or a fishing lesson with my good self. Everyone is automatically entered f.o.c.
