Over many years (as a freelance horse riding instructor) I have seen lots of riders suffer confidence issues or never truly reach their full potential due to their mindset & beliefs. Being a Master Confidence and Sports Performance Coach and also having suffered from such problems myself, I completely understand what riders are going through. Not only that, but, as I ride & compete regularly I also understand HOW this affects the HORSE and how quickly people can slide into a negative cycle or lack of confidence, causing the horse to react negatively which in turns causes more negativity etc etc. I have worked with all types of riders; from the weekend happy hacker through to the serious competitor that is out every week and taking professional steps with their riding. No matter where you are in your riding I can help! What you will also discover, is that although you may come for coaching entailing horse riding, we often discuss much more than this as other parts of life will affect your riding. My approach is holistic examining all parts of life (if needed) so that you become a happier person with all of life, not just in the horse world. My mission is to help all horses to become happier. To do this, we need happy, confident horse riders! I have coaching packages to suit every pocket including a self-help workbook to coach you through setting goals & how to achieve them, online group 'Rider Positive Mindset' series, one-to-one coaching & intensive on & off the horse coaching days (at your yard or possibly mine). All work (Confidence & Sports Performance Coaching) can be undertaken face-to-face in private sessions in Yorkshire (Howden) or via video link (usually on ZOOM). As I look to the winter season & organising clinics, where & what would you like? This is YOUR chance to let me know of nice indoors in your area that we could run some clinics. Arenas within an hour of Howden considered.
Maybe you want general flat sessions, confidence sessions, jump sessions, position sessions with balls & bands or working equitation sessions. Let me know!

This may be of interest to those of you in based around Yorkshire. This would be a small group of riders supporting each other. I find the WE obstacles useful if you are nervous riding, we would start very slowly & build up. Competing is not necessary. Get in touch if you would like more details.

I am wondering if there is a desire for a small group of riders to be able to meet & support each other to learn together? There are several things that I have learnt over the years, especially with age 🤦‍♀️. Riding can be both a supportive amazing sport, or one that is very lonely & dog eat dog world! As we grow older our perspective changes & things that never bothered us suddenly become the biggest obstacle ever, stopping us from getting what we want in life, causing us to shrink into ourselves.
WE is a sport that provides support & guidance. Although daunting at the start it really is good fun & gives you challenges for your riding that can be used out there in day to day life, but also test your skills in the ring. Therefore, with a handful of competitions organised in Yorkshire for the coming few months, is there interest in riders joining a small group of likeminded riders to find out more about this sport - possibly moving on to compete this year or next (but not compulsory!). If needed we can work on confidence & mindset issues (Inspirider) as well as discovering skills required for the sport, as well as supporting & socialising. It seems a long time - NO‼️it IS a LONG time since I came on here properly. For those not in the know, we have been having major house work (roof off, raised & dorma roof put on). It has been a long winter for us living basically under a plastic roof for months with no insulation! Due to this & the noise, lack of electric at times & basic chaos I have not been able to run many sessions here, so haven’t been chasing new clients/ old clients etc. So, if you have sessions outstanding I am now in a position to restart. 🥳

Do you remember as a rider to look after yourself? Do you keep your electrolytes topped up?
✳️do you often feel lethargic?
✳️do you sweat a lot during exercise/ riding?
✳️are you going through the (peri)menopause?

If so there is good chance you may need to top up your electrolytes (not just your horse’s)
