This week was a fantastic experience for Hamilton Golf Club - Riccarton junior member Finlay Neill.

Finlay had qualified for the Faldo Future Series finals at The Belfry this week as part of the DP Tour British Masters.

Finlay took part with 47 other finalists in his age category and finished in a tremendous 13th place, 5 shots behind the winner.

The day was finished off with a clinic by Nick Faldo. What a great experience to meet and learn from a multiple major winner. 🏆

Well done Finlay, all your practice is paying dividends for you. More importantly though, your having great fun and enjoying this great game, 👏⛳️🏌🏻‍♂️

Final Junior Open of the Summer!

Chatelherault Junior Open – Tuesday 11 August 2026

Lanarkshire schools are nearly back, but this is the final chance for some silverware and to finish the holidays in style at one of Lanarkshire’s most prestigious junior events. An 18‑hole stroke play competition for all juniors under 18 (as of 1 Jan 2026), with a handicap allowance up to 36.

Congratulations to Dominic Grant and Aiden Dempsey on qualifying for the Lanarkshire Boys Matchplay on Monday. The boys finished in the top 8 in the scratch and handicap sections of the strokeplay event held at Colville Park on Sunday.

Well done and good luck during the matchplay stages. 👊

Hamilton Golf Club - Riccarton Junior member, Finlay Neill’s great season continues. ⛳️🏌🏻‍♂️

On Saturday, Finlay competed in The Faldo Future Series at Crieff Golf Club and managed to finish in second place 🥈 for his age group of 7-8 year olds. This secured a spot at the Uk grand final at The Belfry in late August on the week of The British Masters DP Tour Event.

Congratulations on behalf of all the Pro Shop on your continued success. 🏆
