Finally framed my 2011 gold medal for

This was my first gold medal in jiujitsu. When training for the comp I eased off on my Muay Thai training. I remember one of my coaches highlighting how much I'd improved since focusing on my grappling, and I was buzzing that someone had noticed I was putting the time in.

I've been lucky enough to win bigger and better things since then but it's always a good reminder of how that first gold medal felt.

I have students younger than this medal now 😂🧓
