A proposed fi****ms crackdown could have major implications for farmers and the wider countryside. 🚨

A police watchdog has declared the current licensing system ‘not fit for purpose’ and made 23 recommendations, including competency tests, in-person medical assessments and aligning shotgun rules with those for high-powered rifles.

The Countryside Alliance supports plans for a single licensing body, but warns other measures would be unworkable and cause ‘untold damage’ without improving public safety.

On Saturday 20th June we are holding an informal 50 bird sporting shoot for Devon Lady Guns
There are some places left any ladies and partners interested are invited to join us.
Commence 2.00pm. £18 per round including tea and coffee.

Friday 17th April
We had a great day hosting BASC young shots progression day.
8 keen young shooters all with previous experience and 2 coaches.
After a theory session in the classroom, we then spent some serious training time on clays with over 50 cartridges per shooter.

A big mention to the trap releases specially made for us by Sun Target systems.
4 receivers and 2 transmitters with the same frequency so both coaches can operate all four traps from different cages giving a huge vaiation in targets.
We have used these for two years now with perfect results.

We are pleased to be hosting an informal 50 bird sporting event for Devon Lady Guns.

There are some spare spaces, so entries from other lady guns, and partners, are invited.

This is an informal event with about 7 sporting stands and a flurry/sim game trap for the experienced.

The cost is £10 entry plus 15p per clay, so feel free to shoot as many stands as you like! Flurry is £20 per 60 birds.

There will be a BASC coach available for guidance if requested.

Tea and coffee free all day.

On 21st June we are pleased to be hosting the annual Devon Young Farmer's clay shoot.
The traps will be out on the following Sunday morning from 10.00 until 1.00pm for a 50 bird sporting shoot if anyone is interested.
There will also be a simulated game stand for experienced guns.
£16 per 50 clays. Sporting or sim.
Tea and coffee available.
Fibre of eco wads ONLY
Shotgun licence required please.
