Raining nicely to bring in the Sea Trout, so I thought time to tie up a couple of flies for Kennick. The one in the vice is a copy of what another angler gave us, Grafham killer?
The others my very simple fly to tempt the Beatle eating trout Trout Fishing South West Lakes Trust

An 11cm rise but us Sea Trout fly-fishers welcome anything at the moment!
Hope this season doesn't turn out like last year as it's a pattern that won't be welcome, but might be something we have to start to get used too😢

I was just visiting Kennick reservoir today, a few fishermen around and the young chap in the video was doing really well, landed a stunning fish using a damsel fly just sub surface, plenty of surface activity and a good hatch of Hawthorn and Alder flies.

Father and daughter from the USA had a day on the water with me, missed more than caught, they are quick takers of the upstream dry fly, no guessing who had the best fish!
But they had a great time fishing in our river

Personally I never give a time I'll be home!

Those that know, know!
A week ago this rock was clean and lots of Salmon Par swimming in this pool and rising to take insects, now it's almost empty of fish.
A lot of work goes into improving the spawning and nursery areas for the critically endangered Atlantic Salmon, then this happens.
need to educate the and that own the land around the Teign Valley in Devon
Combine that with the chemicals on the dogs that are encouraged by signs erected by the above to swim in certain areas t's all very depressing
