So the 2026 TAYGETOS Adventure has come to a close .. and what an incredible few days we’ve had in the Peleponnese!
The weather was cooler than in previous years for this 15th anniversary edition.. but the running and the craic in Kardamyli was as mighty as it always is! 😊
For those that don’t know..
The TAYGETOS mountains rise to 2407m behind Kardamyli, so it’s not unusual to see a dusting of snow on the peaks, but this year the snow was down at much lower altitudes.. it was quite impressive!
Luckily we didn’t have to run through it! 😮💨
This year we had a group of 16 runners, with 12 of them taking on the lofty 40km TAYGETOS Mountain Marathon - with over 2500m of ascent. It’s not easy .. we don’t do easy.. 🤷. and we’re delighted to say that everyone finished this brutal but beautiful journey through the foothills of the snow-capped TAYGETOS Mountains.
We also had 2 runners finishing the 22km TAYGETOS Experience race and 2 runners completing the tortuous 10km. 👏👏👏
A magnificent seven runners made it onto the podium in their age categories! 🙌

We’ll have even more in the top spots next year!
The 2027 TAYGETOS Adventure dates are to be confirmed, but entries will be available next month (as usual, entries will be limited to sixteen)
