What is Qi? ✨

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Qi (pronounced "chee") is often described as the body's life force or vital energy.

It is believed that Qi flows through pathways in the body called meridians, helping to support balance, movement, and overall wellbeing.
According to TCM, when Qi flows freely, the body is thought to be in harmony.

When that flow becomes stagnant or disrupted, it is believed this may contribute to feelings of tension, discomfort, fatigue, or imbalance.

Practices such as:
🌿 Gua Sha
🌿 Acupuncture
🌿 Tai Chi
🌿 Qigong
🌿 Breathwork and mindful movement

have traditionally been used to help encourage the smooth flow of Qi throughout the body.

While modern science doesn't currently measure Qi as a physical substance, many people find these practices helpful for relaxation, body awareness, stress reduction, and supporting their overall wellbeing.

Whether you view Qi as energy, balance, connection, or simply a way of understanding how the body works together, the idea remains the same:
