Scarborough Yacht Club will host the 707 National Championship from 3–6 September 2026.

When the 707 Sailing fleet lines up in Scarborough this September, the racing is simple: first boat across the line wins.

The boats race one-design, without handicap calculations separating them. That puts the emphasis firmly on the crews, their tactics and the decisions they make on the water!

707 Scottish Championships 2026 — entries are open

The 707 Scottish Championships will be part of Largs Regatta Festival this August, with racing over the Cumbraes Weekend on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August.

It would be great to get a strong 707 fleet on the water for this one, so if you’re thinking about coming, now is the time to get your entry in.

There’s also a big shoreside/social side to the weekend, which is always a major part of the 707s. The festival schedule includes the Friday night Saturn Sails Loft Party, live music at Euroyachts/Scotts from Chart Society on Friday evening, and live music from The Rollin’ Drones on Saturday night. Competitors with regatta wristbands are listed as having free tickets for the live music events.

The Notice of Race and event documents are available on the Largs Regatta Festival Noticeboard, and entries can be made through the Largs Regatta Festival website.

Clyde One Design Regatta – 4th & 5th July

The 707 Class will have two days of racing at the Clyde One Design Regatta weekend on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July.

Saturday will feature three short-course races, followed by the club party/social ashore.

On Sunday, the 707s will have a coastal race, giving the class a full weekend of racing and making it worthwhile for boats travelling to the event.

Sailing instructions for the 707 racing will be issued alongside the main event instructions.

Updates will be shared via Facebook, WhatsApp and the club website.

A relaxed weekend, good racing, and a strong 707 social — hopefully we can get a great fleet on the water.

On behalf of the Association, congratulations to Guy Neville and Team Po on their fantastic achievement of winning overall at this year’s Scottish Series.

This is a tremendous result for Guy, his family, and crew — and thoroughly deserved. Guy joined the fleet last year and has been a brilliant addition both on and off the water. To see a 707 take the overall win at Scottish Series is a real testament to the strength and competitiveness of the fleet.

A fantastic regatta overall, and once again, huge congratulations to Guy and Team Po 🍾👍🥂
