We have to press pause on our basketball session due to Exam season. I’d like to encourage all our attendees taking exams to focus and wish them all every success.
Fond farewell to Alberto who returns to Italy at the end of the month.
We will recommence in June with some training sessions and schedule in some matches with National League teams as their competition is over.
My message to attendees is to Avoid the plateau that comes with not playing basketball, that moment where you stop progressing and stay the same or lose some ability. Outdoor courts are available, spend time practicing well. Poor practice makes for poor performance, and I can see the improvement in every attendee. Consistency, power, agility, determination, skill levels. If anyone has not seen this improvement, I accept responsibility…
On the upside….we had 1 attendee move on to play at Canterbury. 1 of my students earned a bursary at university to play basketball. 1 student is attaining level 1 coaching cert. Lastly the guys I coached at Astor school made it to the semi finals in the inter school tournament, the highest result they’ve achieved.
I will be doing some sessions over coming weeks, so watch this space.🏀🏀🏀

This Thursday is our last session at DGSB till June. If I can agree a temporary venue for the coming weeks I’ll advise. Thursday is also the last day for our Italian friend Alberto as he returns home next month. If you have a blue top, or Italian colours even better. Let’s have a good send off for him 🇮🇹
