A big thank you to everyone who volunteered for Kent Fire & Rescue’s water rescue exercise at Conningbrook Lakes last week.

The scenario may have been make-believe, but the training was very real. Exercises like this help emergency services and local organisations work together effectively, ensuring we’re all better prepared as the warmer weather brings more people onto the water.

Special mentions to Andy for taking a dive for the team, Kate for somehow walking on a “broken leg”, and Dani for rescuing kayaks while sacrificing her left Croc in the process 😂

A fun evening with a serious purpose, and we’re proud that Cinque Ports Sailing could play a part in supporting such an important community exercise.

Don’t let them miss out on a summer on the water 🌊☀️

Our Stage 1 & 2 courses at Conningbrook, Ashford this half term (Tuesday & Wednesday) are the perfect way to get started. Whether they’re brand new or ready to build confidence, these courses can be the first step towards a whole summer of getting out on the water, learning new skills and making new friends.

Great session on the water yesterday afternoon with our sailors from Dover College continuing to build confidence and develop their sailing skills in Dover Harbour. ⛵️

A busy harbour at this time of year, with three cruise ships in the background while we were out sailing, a nice reminder that whether it’s a dinghy or a cruise ship, it all starts with a love of the sea and being on the water.

Well done to everyone involved.

☀️ This weather is too good to waste indoors… get them out on the water! ⛵

Our After School Sailing Club with Cinque Ports Sailing is the perfect way for kids to switch off, unwind and have fun after a busy school day.

🌊 Zero screen time
🌊 Fresh air and exercise
🌊 Build confidence and independence
🌊 Learn real skills (and have loads of fun doing it!)
🌊 The perfect way to “wash the school day away”

Great to see TS Lynx Sea Cadets making the most of a busy day as the warmer season returns!

Yesterday afternoon they were out on the water with us at Cinque Ports Sailing, always a pleasure to support their training and time afloat.

We’re proud to be their boating hub and look forward to welcoming the cadets every Thursday evening from 6–8 as they build their skills on the water 🚣
