HYROX Cardiff done ✅

There’s just something about that stadium atmosphere… it hits different. The noise, the energy, the way it carries you through those tough moments — easily one of my favourite HYROX venues. And the track? Fast. Properly fast. The kind where you feel like you can push just that little bit harder every lap.

Big shoutout to my new run partner Stu,first race together and it just clicked. Having someone alongside you who keeps the pace honest (and the chat flowing when it hurts) makes a massive difference.

And doing all of this with a six-month-old at home… that’s a different kind of challenge altogether. Less sleep, more juggling, but a whole new level of motivation too. You stop taking the time you do have for granted.

It’s not always perfect prep. It’s not always easy. But it’s always worth it.

Worked through a full ATHX race simulation with Charli, hitting every station with purpose and keeping the intensity high from start to finish.

Feeling stronger, smoother, and more race-ready each week.
Still lots to sharpen — especially the later Ski Erg — but the progress is real and momentum is building nicely.
