🙌 It’s Volunteers’ Week!

Anseo sa chlub, ní thiocfadh linn feidhmiú gan na deonaithe iontacha atá againn. Tá ról barrthábhachtach á imirt duine a thugann a gcuid ama, a gcuid fuinnimh agus a gcuid dúthrachta i bhforbairt an chlub.

Is luachmhar go deo an obair dhéanann siad: idir chóitseálaithe, bhaill choiste agus iad siúd a thugann cuidiú dúinn le cothabháil, le glantóireacht, riarachán agus achan rud eile. Déanann na huaireanta gan áireamh a ghní sibh gan iomrá duifear as cuimse dár gcuid ball, dár gcuid foirne agus dár bpobal.

Tá muid ag dúil go mór le ceiliúradh ceart a dhéanamh leis na deonaithe ag Oíche Chomórtha na nOibrithe Deonacha níos moille anonn sa bhliain. Eadar an dá linn, gabhaimid buíochas ó chroí libh as a ndéanann sibh don chlub.
Is é bhur ndúthracht, bhur bpaisean agus bhur gcuid tacaíochta a dhéanann club dínn.

Bhí Seán Brown ag cur glais ar gheataí CLG Bhaile Eachaidh ar 12 Bealtaine 1997 nuair ghabh buíon de chuid an LVF é gur mharaigh siad faoi orduithe Liam Mhic an tSaoir óna cheall carcair. Corradh mór le tríocha bliain ina dhiaidh sin, níl duine ar bith cúisithe, agus tá an stát ag diúltú scaoileadh leis na sonraí atá acu maidir lenar tharla agus maidir leis na daoine a bhí páirteach ann.

Sa bhliain 2025, d’iarr ionad Pat Finucane ar Son Cearta Daonna, agus teaghlach Seán Brown, ar Gharbhán Mac Giolla Domhnaigh leabhar a scríobh fá bhás agus bheatha Sheáin, fear a bhí ina athair ag seisear cloinne, agus ina Chathaoirleach or CLG Bhaile Eachaidh.

Sean Dolans have the honour of hosting a launch of Garbhán Downey's new book "A Bitter Harvest" on Tuesday 16th June at 7pm.

Seán Brown was locking the club gates at Bellaghy GAC on May 12, 1997 when he was abducted and murdered by an LVF gang, directed by Billy Wright from his prison cell. Almost three decades on, Seán's killers have never been prosecuted, and the state is refusing to release details of what happened and who was involved.

In 2025, the Pat Finucane Centre for Human Rights and the Brown family commissioned Garbhán Downey, Director of Colmcille Press, to write a book on the life and death of the 61-year-old Bellaghy GAA chair and father-of-six.

A massive thanks to Steelstown who hosted our Mother's and Others team this afternoon.

The girls had great craic and played some great football.

Training resumes at 7pm on Tuesday and we always welcome new players along 🔴⚪️

Derry CCC and the Referee Administration Committee are calling on clubs and club members to express an interest in starting the pathway to becoming a club referee, for youth and adult games.

𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙬𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪?

Referees across all codes are in short supply in Derry. Our current officials are stretched thin, covering huge numbers of games, and we’re facing a real risk of burnout, injuries, and further losses if nothing changes.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙞𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙨?
