Well that's a wrap for the 2026 cricket season

Phenomenal match with the nerves being tested to the very end. Erne needed 9 off the last over with William Jackson bowling a brilliant last over to restrict Erne CC to getting 5 off the last over leaving us winning the cup by 4 runs!!

Unbelievable match between 2 very even teams
Well done to Erne CC on playing their part in the brilliant final

CHAMPIONS OF PREMIERSHIP 2

What a fantastic day yesterday for everyone at the club getting the opportunity to celebrate winning the league together as a community

To win the league, we had to win away at Killyclooney which is never easy
Losing the toss, BGs were asked to bat first

Batting first proved difficult early on with wickets falling regularly but a phenomenal 125 from Heinrich Roberts which included 10 fours and 9 sixes. Earlier Dhram Singh hit a quick fire 43 and an unbeaten 36 from Mark Robinson helped the team finish on 308.

In reply, Killyclooney lost wickets regularly finishing 175 runs behind with Dhram Singh again starring with the ball with 5 wickets.

Massive congratulations to our Captain Stevie Dunn and all the players who represented the First XI this season.
It has been a really tough season in the league with credit going to Glendermott CC and Ballyspallen CC for pushing us all the way.

Thank you to all our supporters who have been with us throughout the year❤️

This league win is for everyone connected to the club and the BG community

Victory tomorrow for the firsts will see them win the league and gain promotion to Senior 1

Victory for the seconds will see them win the league 4 cup which will go along with the promotion they achieved last Sunday

Bonds Glen Cricket Club

As the dust has now settled, on Sunday our Seconds gained promotion up to League 3 ❤️

Away to Ballyspallen:-
BGs batted first and our lads finished on 195 in their 30 overs. Best batting from Simon Killen 50 and John Long 35.
In reply, Ballyspallen made a real fist of the run chase finishing just 28 runs short on 167. Ben Haslett picking up 4 wickets.

At the start of the season, promotion was seen as priority so we congratulate Dean Duncan and his team on this fantastic achievement 👏

Well done lads.

The icing on the cake would be the league cup too which the boys are in the final v Erne on Saturday and Sunday starting at 12 at the Glen

Would be great to have a good crowd up to support the team❤️

After a fantastic summer of cricket across our clubs and communities, we’re already looking ahead to the next season!

We’re inviting both male and female coaches, parents and volunteers across the North West Cricket Union to register their interest in completing an education course this winter.

Whether you’re an experienced coach looking to develop your skills, a parent who would like to get more involved, or someone who is completely new to volunteering, we’d love to hear from you! 🙌

There are opportunities to express an interest in:

🩹 First Aid qualifications
🛡️ Safeguarding courses
🤝 Other volunteer education opportunities
