Come and give it a try – everyone is welcome, whether you’ve played before or you’re completely new. No experience is necessary, just bring comfortable sportswear and a willingness to have fun! 🏉

With the current heatwave, please remember to bring plenty of water and stay hydrated. Take regular breaks if you need them and don’t push yourself too hard in the heat.

💦🏉 TONIGHT WE DID SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT AT DEREHAM RUGBY CLUB… 🏉💦

With all this gorgeous hot weather we’ve been having, we decided it was time to swap the fitness, techniques and skill training for one night only…

And have the BIGGEST WATER FIGHT EVER! 🔫💦☀️

We danced, played games, took on water challenges, worked together as teams, made memories and most importantly… we had FUN! 😆

Because rugby isn’t just about the game. It’s about friendships, teamwork, confidence, laughter and creating a club where everyone feels part of something special 💜🖤

We are honestly so proud of how much Dereham Rugby Club continues to grow — from our amazing Minis, to our Youths, right through to our Men’s Contact team. What a brilliant rugby family we’re building 🏉

A MASSIVE thank you to Max at Summit for kindly donating all of the water pistols and incredible water games that made tonight possible — the smiles said it all! 💦

Thank you to every parent who got involved (and got soaked 😂) and of course a huge thank you to our fantastic coaches for always bringing the energy, fun and enthusiasm every single week.

Touch Thursdays! 🏉

Back on the home turf tonight!

It’s been one year since touch has been up and running!!

We have played in two competitive tournaments. Got another one coming up at Birmingham- still some spaces!

Played in the development tournaments. A qualified ref! Onwards and upwards 👆

We will be doing the same training from our very first day 🙂

A coach is so much more than someone who just teaches the sport… 💜

They are the ones who believe in you before you believe in yourself.
They encourage you, support you and help you grow — both as a player and as a person.

They tie shoelaces.
Wipe away tears.
Hold a hand when things feel scary.
Celebrate the little wins.
Pick you back up when you fall.
Teach you it’s okay to make mistakes.
Remind you to keep trying.
Help you find your confidence.
Listen when you need someone.
Make sure everyone feels included.
Notice when you’re having a tough day.
Give you that extra push when you need it most.
Cheer the loudest from the sidelines.
Share the excitement, the nerves and the proud moments.

They’re the first aider, the problem solver, the motivator, the role model, the biggest supporter and sometimes even the shoulder to cry on.

A coach doesn’t just build better players…
They help build stronger, kinder, more confident people.

Because the memories made, the lessons learnt and the belief they give can last a lifetime 💜🏉
