Another strong showing for our 1st XI against Snettisham on Saturday.

Winning the toss and choosing to bowl first, the bowling attack kept things tight, supported by a sharp fielding display.

Wickets were shared around the bowling attack, with Futter the pick of the bowlers picking up a well deserved 3-27.

After restricting Snettisham to 175-8 from their 45 overs, the chase started quickly. However, a flurry of wickets from a great opening spell from Cook and fielding from the Snettisham players left the chase in the balance. A great partnership between Captain Ali and Futter saw us over the line to a win by 4 wickets.

A strong performance in sweltering conditions saw our 1st XI come away victorious against New Buckenham on Saturday.

After losing the toss and being sent out to field, patience proved to be a virtue against a cautious opening partnership.

Standards and energy levels stayed high throughout and, after Futter made the initial breakthrough, wickets fell at generally regular intervals.

New Buckenham finished on 191 all out, with Donnelly the pick of the bowlers finishing with figures of 3-28.

Tuthill and Harvey got off to a flying start in response, putting on a stand of 124, with both passing the 50 mark.

After Tuthill fell for a fluent 65, D. Hall joined Harvey and played a real teammate knock, allowing Harvey to bring up his century and secure the 9 wicket victory.

Our 2nd XI came close to an upset against unbeaten Grimston, sadly falling 3 wickets short. Captain Bend and Bridges providing two standout appearances with the ball, picking up a combined 5-41 off 20 overs.

Looking forward to a thrilling cricket weekend, fingers crossed for good weather! Our Ladies Team starts the action, hosting Sprowston Cricket Club on Friday. Saturday sees our 1st XI traveling to Overstrand Cricket Club and our 2nd XI welcoming Fakenham Cricket Club . The weekend finale features our Ladies side hosting North Runcton Cricket Club .
