Today is day 2 of our 2026 Steam Rally weekend! We had a brilliant day yesterday and can't wait for today! ☺️ 🚂 💨

It's a great way to entertain the little ones before they are back at school tomorrow! We start at 10 and finish at 16:30.

With an improving weather today ☀️ why not come down and see us! Lots to see and do from model boats ⛵, road and rail steam! 🚂 🚂

Come and meet our society members and learn about vintage vehicles from yesteryear! 🛠️

Why not treat your little ones as we have a catering and ice cream van on site! 🍦🍦

ONE MORE DAY TO GO...! Until our Miniature Steam Gala Viables Craft Centre ! 🚂💨 We can't wait 🥳🥳

Steam powered vehicles of all sizes will be running in our field and on the railway showcasing the best of our hobby at Basingstoke and District Model Engineering Society and the other traders on the Craft site will be open on the Saturday too.

Train rides and traction engine rides available @ a bargain £2pp,with entry to the site to come is totally free. Did you know, we accept cash and contactless for rides! 💳

Only 5 more days to go until our FREE Spring Miniature Steam Gala event! 💨It's the highlight of the Basingstoke and District Model Engineering Society's calendar ⭐ - we promise to have lots of Steam engines in the field and on the track🚂🚂!

Train and traction engine rides all weekend from 10-16:30 Saturday and Sunday!

We expect it to be busy so please park in Viables business park off Jays Close! We will have yellow parking signs out!

Thank you so much to everyone who came to have a ride with us today! We are really pleased to be back running again - especially when seeing so many happy faces😃

We hope you can join us for our next event at the 2026 Steam Fayre - an annual highlight over the weekend of Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th April! Lots of visiting traction engines in the field and more train rides all weekend! See you there!

WE ARE BACK! First running day of the year at Basingstoke and District Model Engineering Society is this Sunday from 11-4! We have spent a lot of time working on the site🌷🪻 and our engines 🚂🚂to get ready for the new 2026 running season and we can't wait! 😃

Whilst prices are going up everywhere else right now💸🫣 we haven't put our prices up - they are the same as last year - amazing value at £1.50pp! 🤗

Remember we take cash or contactless!

Well that's a wrap for 2025! It was lovely to see so many of you come and visit us today, despite the British weather! 🌧️ 🚂

A huge thank you to everyone who has come and supported us this year! We hope you have a happy Christmas!! 🎄 🎁 We will be back on Sunday 29th March 2026 ☀️ 🌱. See you there!

Tomorrow is our Christmas Train rides event 🎄🚂🚂
We will be running steam and electric trains for the public from 11-5pm, coinciding with the Viables Christmas Craft Fayre tomorrow afternoon from 2:30-5pm. 🎄🎁

Tomorrow is also our last passenger run of 2025 for us until March 😥 where has the year gone?! We do like running our steam locos in the winter though as they look magical! 🚂💫 Hope to see you there!
