Last Saturday was our June Club Shoot and the weather was damp and breezy.
The incoming wind meant tricky targets.
26 lines shot with 6 competitors recording Straights, see photos.
5, Patrick, Jim, Mark, Gavin and Raymond stayed for the Shoot Off,,.
Patrick and Raymond shot another 15x15, so Sudden Death required to sort out the winner,.Patrick took the Win,,Raymond 2nd and Gavin 3rd..

100 OT and 100 OSK today, light conditions were poor In the OT still some good scores, David Beattie took the top spot with 91, Winning B, Marcus McCracken won C and Tony Young won D. In the OSK Gareth McCauley 94 took top spot. See scores in pics, Carson Lindsay presenting the s***t prizes and one of young Harry McKeown who had a good day at the OT supported by his dad Mark.

All 4 stayed for the Shoot Off but only Mark McCusker shot 15x15 to take the Win. David Mawhinney and Raymond Clyde were Joint 2nd with 14x15..

A very blustery day made for difficult shooting today at our 100 OT shoot. We experimented today with a pre entry and the first two squads shooting through in the morning with the second two squads starting just after 2 pm and shooting through. Fair to say not everyone likes the system, Thatch generally shoots better later in the day and that showed with much better scores from the last two squads. We will have a think about future shoots, let us have your views.

Squads for tomorrow 100 OT shoot, still a few spaces available. The first two squads will start at 11am, squads 3 & 4 try to be at the ground by 1:30 for 2 pm start.

Update on this Saturday's Olympic Trap shoot, the PM squads are now full, we still have spaces for the AM squads, starting at 11am, call or text 07710100021 to book on.

25 lines shot,with 9 Straights recorded,,see photos..
Raymond Clyde,,Brian Herbison,,Gavin Camack,,Mark McCusker,,Billy Wright and Reuben McKay stayed for the Shoot Off..At the end of it,Raymond was the only one to shoot 15x15 to take the Win,,closely followed by Mark 14x15 taking Second place,and Gavin and Reuben with 13x15,still tied for Third,so Sudden Death required to sort it out,,with Gavin taking Third place..
The OT,,ABT practice was busy all afternoon..

Next Saturday 9th May we host 100 Olympic Trap registered including the Co Down and Co Antrim championship. You can pre enter this shoot by contacting phone or text 07710100021. The first two squads will shoot through starting at 11, with the next 2 squads shooting through starting at 2pm.
We are also open Friday afternoon for practice, all welcome.
