What a difference 10 years can make 😁

The picture on the left just after passing their brown/white belt exam and the picture on the right is exactly 10 years later passing their 3rd dan (sandan) black belt.

I honestly couldn't operate our association without these two. The work they do behind the scenes would scare most people away, and that's just keeping me in check 😂😂, to the work they do on the mats coaching is out of this world.

From starting all them years ago to now being my family's closest friends and especially the help you gave us recently to get things across the finish line 😉 thank you from all of us you genuinely do not know how much that meant.

Congratulations again on passing your 3rd dan you absolutely deserve it

Another wee appreciation post.

Roger came to our club a number of years ago and just filled a void we didn't know was missing. An absolute gentleman on and off the mats and has now become a valued member of our coaching team.

He has done a lot behind the scenes which no one knows about and I just want to thank him for that.

From being a student to someone I now call a close friend a huge congratulations for Saturday you absolutely smashed the grading.

Pictured below on the left is after his 2nd dan grading and the right his 3rd dan grading and as always has a huge smile on his face 😁

What a pleasure it has been to teach this young man.

Adam was my very first student I ever had when I started teaching over 20 years ago and I have had the privilege of teaching and watching him grow from a small boy into the absolute gentleman he has become today.

From getting his white belt all those years ago to making it all the way to 9th gold tab in our junior black belt system to yesterday achieving his 3rd dan (sandan) black belt.

Here's to the next 20 years.

Absolutely fantastic day for our students today.
As a coach I couldn't be any more proud of them.

Congratulations to our 5 juniors who graded from junior brown belt to junior black belt you where all fantastic.

Sean and Neil passing their senior black belts. I think it's safe to say you will sleep well tonight 😂

Nicola passing her 2nd degree (nidan) black belt. It's tough doing it yourself but you really knocked it out of the park today 👊🏻

Finally to Adam, Sara, Brian and Roger on passing your 3rd degree (sandan) black belt. Absolutely fantastic grading, very technical and intense grading but you were all amazing.

It's days like today is why I believe I have the best job in the world seeing the smiles on everyone's faces from the young to not so young 😂

Congratulations again to you all from one very very proud Sensei 🥋💪

For those attempting junior black belt grading starts at 9.30 be there and ready to go at 9.15 😁 presentation will be at 10.30 🥋

For those attempting senior black belt or above grading starts at 11 be there and ready to go at 10.45 😁 presentation will be at 12.15 🥋

Reminder to everyone this is a closed grading and you will only be allowed in for the presentations

Good luck to everyone grading we know you will do yourselves and our club proud, you have trained hard for this day for a long time so go enjoy it and show your examiner how good you are.
