Surrey showed up for Zumbathon for Cancer. 💪

Nearly 330 people filled the gym at Fleetwood Park Secondary on June 5 for the 13th annual fundraiser. The event supports the BC Cancer Foundation’s Patient Relief Fund, which helps patients with financial, travel, and resource assistance.

This year’s Zumbathon has raised $11,000 so far, with more still being counted. Over the years, the fundraiser has now brought in more than $100,000.

How lucky am I to celebrate my greatest joy and accomplishments with my gal? She has grown up hearing the words “Zumbathon For Cancer” and understands what fundraising is and the importance of spreading awareness. She knows how important the event is and gives this mama the love and support she needs. Seeing her wear the gear fills my heart with love and pride.

13th annual Zumbathon®️For Cancer - We rocked it!

To say that I’m thankful for this community is an understatement. I’m forever in awe of all of you and appreciative to walk hand in hand, side by side in this quest to fight cancer. Over 300 of us packed the gym, making this our most well-attended party yet. With smiles, sweat, and lots of cheering, we came together to fundraise in support of the . We have a common goal and with our hearts on our sleeve, we crushed it!

Thank you to those who made time to attend and for those who contributed towards our fundraising goal. I wish I had time to speak to each and every one of you on Friday, to tell you how thankful I am that you came and to express how much each of you means to this event. Please know that from the stage, I saw you all!

Total money collected coming soon but we crushed our $100,000 in total donations goal.

THANK YOU everyone! See you next year on the first Friday of June! I can’t wait.
