What can I do for you or your loved one?

See exhibit A below. The right walker is the one my client WAS using and the left is the correct one they are using adjusted correctly.

Did you know that most standardized walking aids and other aids are designed for people 5'7" and taller? With shorter people often requiring "youth" sizes.

This family made that exact error due to no fault of their own. They thought the "standard" walker would do.

This standard walker not only put our client out of proper postural and gait alignment but was too bulky and posed an increased fall / injury risk and encourage unsafe usage.

Unfortunately, staff at many aid stores are not trained on proper sizing / fitting. They are well versed on the specs and options but not on the genuine application of the product.

Occupational Therapists and OT Assistants are trained in this. That is my niche. Not only do I provide exercise for mobility, strength, and cognition, but I am trained in fall risks in the home and proper aid use.

How It Started VS How It's Going...

Example #1 of an actual client program of Phase #1 to Phase #4 - 6 for generalized knee pain.

This programming is for those with weak knees and leg muscles, Osteoarthritis or knee meniscus tears. The second exercise is how it can and has progressed for most of my clients with weak leg muscles. I'd omit the jump for those with OA or Meniscus tear of the knee and do stationary lunges or other appropriate alternatives.

Hoppy Easter to all who celebrate!! Make like a bunny and add a few jumps to your exercise routine if you can. Jumping rope is not only good for bone density but one of the most effective cardiovascular exercises. It also will help burn off that excess chocolate that you definitely didn't have . . .
