The Blossom 8 Miler is coming up on Sunday, May 10th. Great views to see on your run plus how many times can you race across a trestle! This is the 5th race in the Play Kelowna Interior Road Race Series and put on by the Penticton Pounders Running Club. Good morning Penticton Pounders and welcome to the final day of the Spring Scavenger Hunt!

Today’s activity is Strava Art. I know not everyone has Strava, so be creative. Use your Garmin. Draw out your route on a city map and then go run it. All I want to see is your finished masterpiece, preferably a photo!

Good morning Penticton Pounders and welcome to day 16 ( Friday) of the Spring Scavenger Hunt!

Today’s activity is going to be an actual scavenger hunt. On your run, walk, hike please get pictures of the following items:
1. Tulip Magnolias
2. Daffodils
3. A fire truck, police cruiser or ambulance
4. A Canadian flag
5. An eagle or heron
6. A crow or raven
7. A creek or lake
8. A garden gnome (or other lawn ornament)
9. A selfie with Neil ( NOT Noel)
10. Christmas lights or decorations still up
11. Reflection in a puddle or the lake
12. A boat
13. A collector’s car or truck that has been rebuilt
14. A basketball hoop
15. Crocuses

Good morning Penticton Pounders and welcome to day 15 of the Spring Scavenger Hunt!

Today’s challenge is to do at least 5km of running, walking, or hiking. During the run, please include 3-4 new roads that you haven’t run before, or a trail that is new to you. Please send me a Garmin, Strava, or picture of a road map with you drawing out the route you took. Even a selfie with each street sign would work!

Good morning Penticton Pounders and welcome to day 14 of the Spring Scavenger Hunt!

Today’s run or walk will be a “Street Art Tour”. All you have to do is get a 5km run or walk in around town and get at least 5 pictures of murals or street art. There are a lot of them out there so it should be fairly easy.

The Peach City Runners Blossom 8 Miler is coming up on Sunday, May 10th. Put on by the Penticton Pounders Club, it is the 5th race in the Interior Road Race Running Series. The Blossom has been around since 1981 and last year 141 runners came out race. There will be refreshments and draw prizes including a draw for a pair of New Balance shoes and a free entry to the Blackwell Dairy 15K race in Kamloops. Good morning Penticton Pounders and welcome to day 12 of the Spring Scavenger Hunt!

Today is day 3 of the 3 day Run Streak! (This can include streaking for bonus points but is not recommended.) Each day will require you to do approximately 5km run, walk, hike and will have an extra activity attached to it.

Your extra activity today is to treat yourself. Basically it can be anything (before, after or during your run). Grab a coffee, buy new shoes, get yourself flowers, go for fries, buy donuts, buy a new running hat, go for ice cream, have wine! Just do something for yourself that you might not ordinarily do. All I want for today’s submission is a selfie doing your extra activity, or a picture of what you bought yourself.
