Ever wanted to try ROLLER DERBY!? OUTLAWS 'N' RATTLERS ROLLER DERBY SOCIETY IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR PLAYERS, SKATING REFS, NON-SKATING OFFICIALS AND VOLUNTEERS! NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, COACHING/TRAINING PROVIDED!
During these 2 intake classes you will learn basic skating skills as well as learn about the basics of roller derby! This includes all the different roles within the sport to make it happen! You will not be doing any contact or full-on game play during these classes. BUT DON'T FRET that will come soon! The goal of these intakes is to try something new and make friends while learning about a super wicked awesome sport!
Some of the skills you will be learning during the intake: falling, skating fast, falling, stopping, footwork/agility, falling, sweating, laughing while roller skating, falling and falling!
DATES AND LOCATIONS:
Outlaws (ages 10-18 OPEN GENDER) Wednesdays September 9th and 16th 7pm - 9pm at the Penticton COMMUNITY CENTRE and an invite to come watch a league scrimmage Thursday September 17th 6:30-8:30 at Penticton TRADE and CONVENTION CENTRE
Rattlers (Ages 19+ OPEN GENDER) Tuesdays September 8th and 15th 6:30pm - 8:30pm at the Penticton TRADE and CONVENTION CENTRE and an invite to come watch a league scrimmage Thursday September 17th 6:30-8:30 at Penticton TRADE and CONVENTION CENTRE
FEES: $20.00 total. Skates, instruction and safety gear included
