Mason McTavish is featured in this week's SHIFT Player Spotlight.

Mason wrapped up the season with 75 games played, 24 goals, and 41 assists for 65 points while serving as an Alternate Captain for the Anaheim Ducks.

Selected 3rd overall in the 2021 NHL Draft, Mason continues to establish himself as one of the league's rising stars through his leadership, skill, and consistency at the highest level.

We're proud to have Mason train at SHIFT and appreciate the opportunity to be a small part of his journey. Congratulations on another outstanding season, and we're excited to follow what comes next.

Congratulations to SHIFT athlete Ben Gaudreau on his commitment to Clarkson University to continue his hockey career at the NCAA Division I level.

After spending the 2025-26 season with the Trois-Rivières Lions of the ECHL, Ben will take the next step in his career with the Clarkson Golden Knights and ECAC Hockey.

Jaeden Nelson has been part of the SHIFT family for years and continues to set the standard both on and off the ice. From athlete to now coach, it’s been incredible watching his growth through every stage of the game.

This season, Jaeden finished with a 2.33 GAA and .915 SV% while helping the Ottawa 67’s earn the OHL Lowest Team GAA (Dave Pinkney Trophy). He was also recognized in the 2026 NHL Mid- Term Central Scouting Rankings.

We’re proud to have Jaeden continue giving back to the next generation of athletes here at SHIFT. Congrats on an incredible year and all the GRIND behind it!

Kieren Dervin had an outstanding season featureing himself in this week’s SHIFT Player Spotlight.

Kieren finished the year with 53 games played 17 goals paired with 25 assists for a total of 42 ptswhile earning recognition as an (OHL) William Hanley Trophy nominee.

We enjoy following Kieren’s development and success on and off the ice. Congrats on an incredible season and all the hard work that went into it. Looking forward to what’s next in Michigan!

WELCOME BACK, TY

We’re excited to officially welcome Ty Ferguson back to the Shift family as one of our goalie coaches.

Coming off an outstanding season with the Rockland Nationals, Ty posted a .915 save percentage and helped lead the team to a Bogart Cup championship.

Ty brings high level playing experience, passion for development, and a strong understanding of the position both on and off the ice. We’re pumped to have him back working with our goalies this season.

Let the offseason grind begin!

Huge congratulations to Abby Rooney, Emily Barteaux, Megan Davis, and Eve Nunnikhoven on being selected to Team Ontario for the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Québec City! 🔴⚫️

We’re incredibly proud to have these amazing coaches representing not only Team Ontario, but also the Shift community.

Their hard work, leadership, and dedication to the game continue to make a huge impact both on and off the ice, and we can’t wait to watch them compete on one of the biggest stages in Canadian sport.

Join us on Sunday, May 24th for a fundraising skating session in support of longtime Shift athlete Aiden Gagnon and his family as they navigate an incredibly difficult road ahead following Aiden’s recent brain tumour diagnosis and surgery.
