Two years ago, 14-year-old Xavy got “volunteered” by his uncle to join the 6am CrossFit crew. What started as a little encouragement from family quickly became something he chose for himself.
While cardio never became his favourite thing, Xavy discovered a love for getting stronger, challenging himself, and being part of a community that welcomed him from day one. Despite being the youngest in many of those early morning classes, he found a place where he could work hard, be himself, and never be judged.
Fast forward two years, and the transformation goes far beyond the numbers. Yes, he’s lost 55 lbs and over 10% body fat, but the biggest change has been his confidence. Confidence built through showing up when it was hard. Confidence built through tackling challenges at 6am. Confidence built from the support of coaches, members, and a community that cheered him on every step of the way.
Xavy never needed to lift the heaviest weight or win every workout. His superpower was consistency. Three mornings a week. Monday, Wednesday, Friday. For two years.
The result? A stronger body, a more confident young man, and an incredible bond with his uncle and the UV 6am crew.
Xavy, thank you for inspiring all of us with your commitment and determination. Your story is proof that small actions, repeated consistently, can create incredible change. 👏❤️
You will be missed by everyone and best of luck at your new school!
