STRONGER IS ONLY HALF OF IT ✨
This is where proprioception and the STOTT PILATES® method meet.
The STOTT PILATES® Five Basic Principles ask you to pay attention to five things while you move:
breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular movement and stabilization, and head and cervical placement. Reinforced over time, they build real awareness of how your body moves. 🧠
That takes more than muscle. It asks your nervous system to know where those parts are and how they're moving in relation to each other. Which is proprioception, doing its quiet work underneath every exercise.
So the goal grows over time. It moves from "I know how to do this exercise" to "I can feel what my body is doing and control it with confidence." That shift is a huge part of what Pilates is really building. 💫
