🥌 A NEW LOOK FOR CURL PEI! 🦊

We’re excited to unveil a new uniform design for Curl PEI teams representing our province at national championships!

Building on our new logo introduced last year, the design features our Island fox and incorporates elements inspired by three important industries that help define Prince Edward Island: farming, fishing and wind energy. Together, the design celebrates our Island roots and gives our teams a look that is uniquely PEI!

Team Arsenault will be the first to wear the new uniforms as they represent Curl PEI at the 2026 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, right here at home in Mill River, beginning November 8!

We look forward to seeing our teams proudly wear the new design as they represent PEI on the national stage throughout the season!

Best of luck to Team Arsenault! 🦊🥌

Note: The new design will be worn by Curl PEI teams attending national championships, with the exception of teams competing at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts and Montana’s Brier.

Clean or Replace Your Broom Head and Grippers!

Believe it or not I've seen curlers head to the ice with broom heads that look like those in the picture!

Clean ice is more consistent, looks better, and is less likely to pick a rock.

The start of the season is a great time to think about replacing your broom headcover and your grippers.

At minimum a nice DEEP SCRUBBING in hot water and soap - especially the inside of your gripper.

It not only keeps the icemaker and club manager happy - it creates better curling for everyone.

Over the past few seasons we have upgraded our boot cleaners and we've added sticky pads at the doors to the rink - but we are a very busy club so every little bit of extra effort on the members part goes a long way!

And surprisingly - several of the headcovers actually went DOWN in price over the offseason.

One of these things is not like the other!

Grippers are one of the most often left behind items in the club.

They also rank pretty high in items that get inadvertently switched at the club.

We have purchased a couple of paint markers that are available at the bar to mark the inside of your gripper. You can put your name, your initials, a special shape, etc - any way to help you identify it.

I recommend the name because then we can narrow down who it belongs to if we find it.

By the way - David Ross we have your slider!!!!

Halloween at Cornwall

The Stick or Treat wasn't the only Halloween fun at the club this weekend. A handful of our Friday Fun League members dressed up and the U20 Mixed Doubles league were mostly in costume!

Club 50/50 Starts THIS Week!

We run a year long 50/50 program at the club that gives a great opportunity for curlers to win prize money and the club to raise extra funds.

Over the past few seasons we've passed out between $2000-$2500 each season in winnings - with prizes as high as $950!

Every member of the club, registered participant in the Monday Commercial Rental League, registered participant in the Island Pride Rental League, and parents of the clubs junior curlers (who opt in) have their name thrown in the draw jar and each Thursday a name is drawn.

If the name drawn has either 1) paid for the season or 2) paid for the week, they win the prize.

If they haven't paid then we all have a great laugh at their misfortune and the pot continues to grow.

This year we are expanding the options for payment - you may now pay in cash (as always) or via e-transfer or cheque.

First draw is THIS Thursday night!
