As softball continues to grow on Prince Edward Island, Softball PEI has been working on sending more provincial teams to compete at Canadian Fastpitch Championships. In 2020, Softball PEI wanted to move on giving the provincial teams a brand, an identity that would be recognized by athletes and softball fans as the provincial team at their respective age level. Giving many young athletes a dream a

nd goal to some day compete for team PEI, while wearing the provincial team name and logo. It was decided the 2020 U14 Provincial team would be the inaugural team to take on a new name and logo, and although it was not the season expected anywhere across the country, the team chose a name and logo relating to PEI to carry forward: PEI Whitecaps. PRIDE: Our athletes proudly wear the Whitecaps High Performance name and logo. Being role models for the younger athletes, giving back to the minor levels, training and competing for Prince Edward Island and making lasting memories of being a Whitecaps athlete. DEVELOPMENT: Whitecaps coaches work to develop athletes to compete with the best in the country, beginning at the grass roots to the senior levels. Softball PEI is committed to developing athletes through the Whitecaps High Performance Program with skill and strength development, nutrition and sport psychology. PERSEVERANCE: The Whitecaps High Performance Program will work with belief, positivity and determination, setting goals to overcome the hurdles of being a small province competing on a national stage against the rest of the country. For the 2021 season, the PEI Whitecaps will be represented in the U14, U16 and Senior Women's divisions at Canadian Championships.

Huge shoutout to PEI U17 Whitecaps Athletes Emily McGuigan, Ava Hodder & Rebekah McGeoghegan on their invite to the U18 Female National Team Selection Camp. We want to wish them all the best as they travel to Toronto this week for their tryout. The Whitecaps Organization at all levels are putting softball on PEI on the map and we are super proud to have representation at this camp . Good luck Girls!!

Tryouts are getting near, register today!

Tryout dates have been released for the 2024 Island U13 Prospects.
20+ athletes will be selected to train once a week in addition to intersquad games and competition. For athletes selected, this program runs in addition to the Softball PEI U13A and AA leagues, for those who have a goal of someday making the PEI Whitecaps or Canada Games Softball provincial teams.

Deadline is January 24th 2024 and a confirmation of registration and additional info will be sent with 24 hrs.

Big week for our PEI U15 and U17 Whitecaps as they both begin their goal competition at their respective Canadian Championships! This is what they are selected and train for!

What a weekend for PEI Softball teams! The U15 Whitecaps claim the U15 Atlantic Championship in Broofield, NS! Congratulations, ladies and coaches!

And along with our U15 and U17 Whitecaps Atlantic Championships, the U19 Impact, that will be the PEI representive at the U19 Eastern Canadians, clinched the U19 Atlantic League season championship on Fredericton, NB! Congratulations! We see some former Whitecaps and CG athletes in that pic!
