🎉🥳👏Celebrating 30 years of Lucy🎉🥳👏
Today we are incredibly proud to recognise Lucy Van Hooydonk and celebrate an amazing 30 years of dedication to our Learn to Swim Centre.
Over three decades, Lucy has made a lasting impact on thousands of swimmers, families and members of our wider community. For so many children, Lucy has been there from their very first experiences in the water, helping them develop confidence, skills and, most importantly, a lifelong love of swimming.
The impact of her teaching can be seen at every level of the sport. Swimmers who began their journey learning to swim with Lucy have gone onto to compete at regional, state, national and international championships, winning medals and breaking records at the highest levels.
But Lucy's contribution goes far beyond results and medals.
Firstly, it is generational, with her teaching the children of parents today who were themselves children taught by her when she first started.
Secondly, it is enduring, with the encouragement, patience, friendships and memories created over 30 remarkable years that make her contribution so special.
And finally the legacy continues, with her love of teaching never wavering and destined to continue for many more years to come.
