Whatโ€™s better than a gold medal? Two gold medals. ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅ‡

Surf Coast Volleyball Association sent three of our incredible junior teams to compete in the 1-day Western Region Champs, and they absolutely dominated. Two of our teams one Boys and one Girls have officially returned home with GOLD!

To all our athletes who hit the court: we could not be prouder of you. You played with 100% heart, grit, and passion. While the medals are incredible, theyโ€™re just the icing on the cake. The real win is watching you all grow.

A massive shout out to our phenomenal coaches. Thank you for your endless dedication, care, and support. You aren't just coaching players; you're building champions, one match at a time.

Thanks for having us and hosting such a great event Western Region Volleyball! Hope to see you at the next one!

At SCVA, we believe that volleyball is a sport for everyone. Our club is built on a foundation of welcoming and accepting all players, regardless of their skill level or physical ability. As our community continues to evolve, we are dedicated to ensuring that our environment remains truly inclusive for every member who travels through our doors.

A major focus for us is strengthening our internal capacity to support our coaching teams. We are actively working to equip our coaches with the knowledge, awareness, and care required to support players across the spectrum of disability and neurodiversity. We recognize that effective communication and thoughtful coaching are essential to providing a positive experience for all participants.

To this end, I am pleased to share that today we began the process of certification through Disability Sports Australia, supported by the Australian Sports Commission. Our team has started this journey by participating in the Building Inclusive Sport Clubs course.

While there is still significant work to be done across many areas of the club, I am very proud to be involved in these foundational stages. We look forward to sharing our progress with you as we grow into a more accessible and inclusive club for all.

SCVA had a fantastic weekend at the Volleyball Victoria Country Championships, sending men's and women's Division 2 teams to compete! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ

Both teams represented SCVA with incredible determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the weekend.

Our men put together a strong campaign and narrowly missed out on finals, while our women had an outstanding tournament, earning a well-deserved ๐Ÿฅˆ Silver Medal!

What made us most proud, however, was the way our players supported one another. The energy, encouragement, and sideline support shown across both teams was amazing to see and truly reflects what SCVA is all about. ๐Ÿ™Œ

A huge thank you to our incredible coaches and team manager for all the time, effort, and dedication they put in behind the scenes to support our players.

And of course, thank you to all the family and friends who were there to cheer us on!! Your support means so much and helps make weekends like these so special.

We couldn't be more proud of everyone who represented SCVA this weekend! ๐Ÿ’›
