A reminder for all SCLAC families with U9+ athletes - registrations for Winter Track & Field Meet 2 close at 11:00am on Tuesday 9 June.

Don't miss the opportunity for your athlete to compete and represent Surf Coast Little Athletics this winter. If your athlete is keen to take part, please make sure you complete their registration before the deadline.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Congratulations to our Surf Coast relay teams who proudly represented the club at the State Cross Country Relay Championships on Saturday! 💙🩵

👏 Girls U9 Relay – Audrey B, Isla M & Lakey R
The girls ran brilliantly to finish 5th overall in the 3 x 1000m relay.

💪 Boys U11 Relay – Jimmy H, Joshua M & Harry S
A determined team effort earned the boys 14th place in the 3 x 1500m relay.

🥈 Girls U13 Relay – Pip H, Sahara L & Cobie O
A fantastic performance (with Cobie running up an age group) saw the team claim 2nd place and a silver medal in the 3 x 2000m relay.

We're incredibly proud of all our athletes for taking on the challenge of State competition and representing Surf Coast with such determination, teamwork and sportsmanship.

There will be no local SCLAC Cross Country this weekend due to the State Cross Country Relay Championships, and no run the following week because of the King’s Birthday long weekend.

Cross Country today brought perfect running conditions 🌥️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our athletes stepped up to the challenge this week, tackling the sand dunes and taking on a course that tested both determination and resilience - and they did an amazing job!

A huge thank you to all of our parents & carers who helped line the course and direct athletes along the way.
Your support ensured everyone stayed on track 🩵

Just a reminder that we have a couple of Saturday’s off from competition due to the State Cross Country Relay Championships next weekend and the long weekend following that.

We’ll see everyone back on Saturday 13 June for more cross country fun!🌊

❄️🏃‍♂️ Is your athlete missing Track & Field?

Winter Track & Field Qualifier 2 is the perfect chance for them to get back out on the track, stay active, and enjoy some competition during the off-season!
Great for SCLAC athletes who want to keep their skills up and have fun through winter, with a great mix of track and field events on offer.

Whether your athlete is chasing PBs or just missing Saturday competition, this is a fantastic opportunity for them to represent Surf Coast and stay connected with athletics over winter!

Open to 2025/26 financial registered competitive LAVic members - U9+
U9 to U17 Boys – 5 Events (60m, 300m, 700m, Long Jump, Discus)
U9 to U17 Girls – 5 Events (60m, 300m, 700m, Long Jump, Shot Put)

Meet 2 - Sunday 21st June, Ringwood
Entries Close: 11am – Tuesday, 9th June 2026
Entry Fee: $31.10 per athlete

This National Volunteer Week, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to every parent, carer, committee member, helper and supporter who gives their time to our club.🩵

From setting up equipment before the first event, to managing age groups each week, cooking BBQs, recording results, managing uniforms, coordinating the schedule, handling the admin and packing everything away at the end of the day and beyond - volunteers are the heart of our club community - without you, there is no SCLAC!

You’ve helped to create the opportunities for our athletes to learn, grow, build confidence and make lifelong friendships in a positive and supportive environment through sport.

We’ve tried to include as many volunteers as possible in this post, but we know there are many amazing people missing from the selection who also contribute so much to our club each season.

Thank you all for the energy, care and time you give to our athletes and families each week. Our club is stronger because of you 🫶
