The 2026 Commonwealth Games have officially wrapped up, and what an incredible campaign it was for Team Australia! 👏💚💛

Australia finished on top of the medal tally with an outstanding 171 medals, including 70 gold medals, showcasing incredible talent across swimming, athletics, cycling, gymnastics and so much more! 🥇🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♀️

It's performances like these that inspire the next generation of athletes to dream big, work hard and most importantly, enjoy being active. 🌟

At GeckoSports, we love introducing kids to a wide variety of sports because you never know which one might spark a lifelong passion. 🦎⚽🏀🏉🎾

⚽ "I know that kid, and I coach that kid." ⚽

Socceroos forward Mohamed Touré, on the people he's playing for at this World Cup:
"[There's pride in representing] the ones that, when I was younger, they took care of me, or they believed in me, or they took me to a football game, even my coaches and stuff, who helped my family and me with football. I just feel like I'm giving back to them, and I hope they can turn on the TV... and tell one of their workmates that I know that kid and I coach that kid, just to have that proud moment. That's what I play for."
To every GeckoSports coach out there … this is for you. 💙💚

You might be running a Tuesday afternoon session. But to that kid, you could be the coach who took the time, who believed in them, who made them feel like they belonged.
