18 year old Rach had no idea what was in store for her… ✨
She thought everyone else knew more, looked better and belonged there more than she did. She worried about doing the wrong exercise, lifting the wrong weight and looking like she didn’t know what she was doing. Under eating and over training and not knowing when and where to stop…
Fast forward to now, a few years down the track, more knowledge and an understanding for how important it is to allow the body to move and not give a f*ck!!
Not just physically, but in the way I train, think, recover and actually see myself🩷
I’ve learned that progress isn’t always a new PB or a different number on the scales. Sometimes it’s about feeling comfortable in the weight section. Knowing what your body needs. Taking a rest day without feeling guilty. Eating without overthinking. Training because you enjoy what your body can do rather than constantly trying to change how it looks.
I’ve also realised how much there is to learn. I’m still figuring things out, each day is considered a new learning day & I’ll continue learning for the rest of my life - because at the end of the day not everyone has things figured out
But I’m a long way from that 18 year-old girl who was just trying to figure out where to start, and honestly I think she’d be pretty proud of where we have ended up so far✨
