BACK IN B GRADE 🦘🖤🤍

12 months ago, the disappointment of relegation was still fresh.

But instead of letting it define us, the Roos pulled together.

Through hard work, belief and an unwavering commitment from everyone around the club, we have fought our way back to where we belong — B GRADE. 🦘

This achievement is about so much more than what happens between the white lines. It wouldn’t have been possible without the countless hours put in by our coaches, the commitment and determination of our players, the tireless work of our committee and volunteers, the unwavering support of our loyal members and fans and to our incredible sponsors — thank you.

Both sides delivered when it mattered most, securing their place in next week’s Grand Finals alongside our C**ts and Thirds! 🔥

Time to lap up the last few Thursday night team selections while we can.

As the boys will be hunting some big wins this Saturday at the Showgrounds, the teams will be training hard Thursday night to secure a spot and clean up before the big day.

Get down and support the boys at training and selections.

Bar will open, finals footy will be on and dinner will be hot ready for purchase. Let’s fill the room before our beloved Thursday nights come to an end!

What a massive weekend of finals football for the Roos! 🖤🤍

🏆 COLTS — 59–22 WIN vs Mosman Park
🏆 THIRDS — 101–25 WIN vs North Beach
❌ RESERVES — 42–48 LOSS vs Wembley
❌ LEAGUE — 51–90 LOSS vs Wembley

The C**ts and Thirds have booked their spots in the GRAND FINAL! 🏆🔥 Two weeks to go — bring it on!

For our League and Reserves, the journey continues. Both sides will take on Hammersley Carine NEXT WEEK at home, with a Grand Final spot on the line. 💪

200 GAMES FOR HIRDY 🦘

And for our final milestone for today, we celebrate James “Hirdy” Duyvestyn as runs out for his 200th game in the black and white! 🖤🤍

Hirdy’s journey with the Roos began back in 2015 as a C**t, and it didn’t take long for success to follow. In 2016, he was part of a C**ts side that claimed the Minor Premiership, before going one better in 2017, helping bring home the Premiership as Vice Captain. 🏆

From there, Hirdy established himself as a pillar of our League side, becoming a formidable Full Back and one of the club’s most respected leaders.

After taking over as Club Captain a few years after his C**ts career, Hirdy led from the front and played a starring role in the 2022 League Premiership. In a performance that will live long in the memory, he was awarded the Best on Ground Medal in the Grand Final. 🥇🏆

In 2024, Hirdy took on another huge responsibility, becoming Club Coach while continuing his playing career — a testament to his commitment to the Roos and his desire to see the club succeed both on and off the field.

Now, in his 200th game, Hirdy has another opportunity to add to his incredible list of achievements, as he and the Roos look to secure his third Premiership this year. 🏆🦘

From C**t to Premiership Vice Captain, League Full Back, Club Captain, BOG medallist and Club Coach — 200 games is an incredible achievement for a true Wanneroo great.

Congratulations on 200 games, Hirdy! 👏

Training on, bar open and dinner cooking. What more could you ask for, a pink scarf perhaps? Well you are in luck! Our second order of pink scarves are in but they are limited and they will go fast.

Come down and purchase your pink Roos scarf behind the bar tonight. Only one person and no holds, first in, best dressed!
