In 1998 it became the Wanneroo Sports & Social Club (Inc.) as we know it today and is a not for profit organisation.
Averaging approximately 500 members the club is a hub of activity for the local community and is family friendly environment with kids play room.
Visitors to the club whilst difficult to quantify would range somewhere between 3000 to 5000 people a year enjoying the many sporting, social, community events and functions the club offers on the premises.
Many facilities are provided by the club for the use of members and visitors.
The Club Room is surrounded by both three natural turf and one artificial bowling greens with a variety of bowling activities each day including Mens, Womens, Mixed, Corporate and Barefoot Bowling which is great for social get togethers and for families.
Patrons, guests and community members at the club have the opportunity to utilise many areas of the club and activities such as snooker and pool tables, darts, bingo night, TAB facilities and a 5 a side soccer venue.
Our venue has the capacity to cater for 650 guests in total in a variety of the function areas;
“Sports Bar” the main hub and activity of the club where you can socialise with members and locals.
“Main Room” a fabulous area that is available for corporate events, weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, presentations, windups and social events such as bingo up to 300 people. The “Main Room” also has access to a full kitchen which can be utilised for catering and a DJ Booth and stage!
“The Decking” area is fitted with electric B-B-Q’s and is ideally located and has a fantastic overview of the all the greens of the club. A great place for a social sundowner and an amazing sunset.
“Ernie Chitty Room” is a closed meeting room with access to the bar and is ideal for meetings, presentations and more intimate events. Fully fitted with over head projector and also sound system for all those private meetings or smaller events with privacy.
“Pool Room” this is a great area for those who want to play billiards or snooker on our three tables which oversees the greens area and is ideally located next to “The Decking” and close proximity to the “Sports Bar”.
TAB Area available to place your bets on your events such as the Melbourne Cup, Perth and more!
