Griffins name their team to take on Cooks Hill Brown Snakes Rugby Union Club. Unfortunately due to sustained injury the squad is unable to field a second team this week previously scheduled for Townson Oval v Merewether Carlton.

The Snakes have been a bogey team all year for our boys with previous matches across both squads resulting in:

53-5 W Cooks Hill
70-0 W Cooks Hill
46-0 W Cooks Hill
48-10 W Cooks Hill

Despite big improvements shown in past weeks our boys are still massive underdogs in this game!

Wish the boys luck in the comments, or even better - get down to at Empire Park 6:20PM tomorrow for the Griffs penultimate game of the 2026 season and cheer them loud and proud!

Griffins defeat Hamilton Hawks 17-12 and win the Stuart Trench Cup for 2026. Alistair Jackson Medal Winner was Conor Lynch.

A proud moment for a team and one we will not soon forget in our lifetimes. Huge thankyou to Hamilton Hawks Rugby Club in for their efforts putting a team together and to our loyal supporters for coming along to cheer the boys at Lynn Oval last night.

Team list named for the big one! 44 players named across 2 squads for our Stuart Trench Cup Memorial Round. Game 1 for the Cup v Hamilton Hawks and Game 2 v Cooks Hill Brown Snakes. The players player voted by a panel of old boys will win the Alistair Jackson Medal.

We will set up a guard of honour full of ex players and family to cheer the boys out in what will be the most special round of the season.
