Vajan Toli Community Event – Newcastle

Our cricket team has formed a Vajan Team with the aim of bringing kids, parents, and families together, while passing on our cultural values, traditions, and devotional music to the younger generation.
We are pleased to announce our first Vajan event, organised at:
📍 Lekali Mart Premises�📅 23rd May�⏰ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
We warmly invite everyone in Newcastle to join us and bring along your parents and children for an evening of devotion, culture, and togetherness. We encourage you to bring Madal, khaijadi, Murali and many more.
This event also has a charitable purpose. We will be collecting funds to support a student who is currently suffering from illness and facing financial difficulties. All collections from the event will be fully donated to support this student.
Your presence, participation, and support will mean a great deal.

Match 16 and 17 Update….
What a game at our home ground against Nelson Bay! 🏏🔥

Nelson Bay won the toos and elected to bat first. We managed to restrict them for 103 in 31 overs.
Suresh Subedi bowled exceptionally well and took 3 crucial wickets, similarly Safal Bartaula and Bishal Poudel helped him from the other end and also took 2 wickets each. 💪🏆
In reply, Newcastle Nepalese team won the match in just 13 overs by loosing 3 wickets. Rupak Sapkota scored cracking 68 runs off 40 balls and remain not out supported by Rabin Chand who scored 21 runs.
With this victory, we continue to remain on top of the table! 🔝🎉

What a game at our home ground against Waterboard Wests! 🏏🔥
After losing the toss and being sent in to field, the team delivered an exceptional bowling effort, restricting the opposition to just 118 runs in 25 overs.
A massive shout‑out to Bishal Poudel for an outstanding spell, taking 7 wickets 🎯—his second consecutive five‑wicket haul! 💥
Ajay Lama also stepped up with 2 crucial wickets and bowled economically. 👏
Chasing 119 on a challenging wicket, Narendra Chand gave us the perfect start with a rapid 36 off 20 balls 💨. With steady contributions in the middle, Newcastle Nepalese brought it home in 25 overs, sealing a solid win. 💪🏆
