This July school holidays, Newcastle Football is hosting a Mini World Cup for players in U8/9, U10/11 age groups for any and all players from Newcastle, Macquarie, Hunter Valley and NNSWF JDL programs.
This Mini World Cup will be played at Stevenson Park, Mayfield West, with the following details:
TOURNAMENT DETAILS
Mixed U8s/U9s & U10s/U11s
Monday 13th July 9am - 2pm
Tuesday 14th July 9am - 2pm
Girls U8s/U9s & U10s/U11s
Wednesday 15th July 9am - 2pm
Thursday 16th July 9am - 2pm
Stevenson Park 1 & 2 - Mayfield West
PRICE
$950 PER TEAM ($95 per player for a team of 10). This cost goes towards a jersey for each player, referee costs, administration cost including ground fees and equipment purchase.
Invoice will be issued to Team Manager (details to be completed below) - Payment secures your teams spot in the tournament. Any player who is not registered for the 2026 Winter Season will need to pay an extra insurance fee.
Each Team will be randomly allocated a country participating at this year’s World Cup. Each player (maximum 10 players per team) will receive a jersey representing that country which will be worn throughout the tournament.
Association referees will be allocated to the 11 games played by each team.
Food and coffee vans will be available on site, as well as canteen facilities.

25 MINUTE GAMES (NO HALF TIME & UNLIMITED INTERCHANGE)
DAY 1
Round Robin format where every team plays each other twice in their group, equalling 6 games in Day 1.
DAY 2
Once separated into Finals Groups, each team will play each other once to decide finals bracket. Each team will play 5 games in total on day 2.
