Overthinking something?

Give your brain a smaller job.

Instead of:

“How am I going to sort all of this out?”

Ask:

“What is the next thing I can do?”

Not the next ten things.

Not the whole solution.

Just one.

Your brain handles one step far better than an imaginary mountain.

We don't do that here.

• Overthinking
• Waiting until Monday
• Researching something we already know how to do
• Asking 14 people what they think
• Suddenly deciding the kitchen cupboards need reorganising
• And our personal favourite…
“I’ll do it when I feel more confident.”

Your brain:
“We should probably do the thing.”

You:
“Absolutely.”

Your brain:
“What if we’re not good enough?”

You:
“Good point.”

Your brain:
“What if people judge us?”

You:
“Also a good point.”

Your brain:
“Maybe we should wait until we feel more confident?”

You:
“Excellent idea.”

Six months later…

Your brain:
“We should probably do the thing.”

😂😂😂

Here’s the annoying little truth…

Confidence doesn’t usually arrive BEFORE you do the thing.

It grows because you did the thing, survived the thing, and gave your brain evidence that you CAN do the bloody thing.

Sometimes self-worth looks less like:

✨ “I completely believe in myself.”

…and more like:

😬 “I’m absolutely bricking it, but I’m doing it anyway.”

And that counts. 💙

Do the thing.
Give your brain some new evidence.
