💛 Kindness in Action 💛

We are so incredibly proud of our Kindness Club — children, families and educators coming together to create these beautiful handmade blankets and beanies for Griffith Meals on Wheels and Hampers of Hope

A very special thank you to all of our wonderful families who generously donated their time, creativity and special handmade items to this beautiful community project. Your kindness and generosity have helped make a real difference and will bring warmth and comfort to those in our community.

This project has been such a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference.

We are so grateful for all the beautiful work Griffith Meals and Wheels and Hampers of Hope do in our community, and we are honoured to be able to give back in such a meaningful way. 💛

Griffith Meals on Wheels would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the wonderful children, families and educators at Griffith Central Preschool for their beautiful donation of handmade blankets and beanies.

These thoughtful items were lovingly created through the preschool’s Kindness Club Community Project, with the beautiful aim of showing kindness, compassion and support to people in our community who may be experiencing hardship, or simply need a little extra warmth and care.

We are incredibly touched by the time, effort and love that has gone into creating each and every piece. 🧶❤️ We are sure our clients will love and appreciate these beautiful handmade gifts very much.

A special thank you to Julianne, Early Childhood Teacher at Griffith Central Preschool, for coordinating and supporting this wonderful project and for helping the children learn the importance of kindness, compassion and giving back to their community.

🐻🧺 Teddy Bears Picnic Week! 🧺🐻

Our little ones have been busy doing up a floor book and sharing their ideas about what they would do at a teddy bears picnic. The children decided that a picnic wouldn’t be complete without yummy treats and a movie!

To bring their ideas to life, we’ll be doing some special cooking experiences throughout the week:

🍪 Monday – Making cookies
🍿 Wednesday – Making popcorn
🥤 Friday – Making milkshakes

The GCP little ones are asked to bring in a special teddy also! 🧸🧸

Today the GCP little ones had the pleasure of visiting the Griffith War Memorial Museum 🤍

A huge shoutout and thank you to Michael and Sean from Griffith RSL Sub Branch and Griffith War Memorial Museum INC for generously allowing our children to attend this meaningful experience.

Excursions like this play such an important role in helping children begin to understand the history and significance behind ANZAC Day. Through hands-on learning and real world connections, they are able to explore concepts of remembrance, respect, and community in an age appropriate way.

Experiences like this also strengthen our connection to the local community, showing children the importance of community involvement and how we all play a role in remembering and honouring the past together.

Supporting children to develop a sense of identity, connection to their world, and an understanding of Australia’s history and cultural heritage.

We are so proud of our little learners for the curiosity and respect they showed today 🌿
