What an incredible morning at Gatton parkrun! 🏃‍♂️❤️

This weekend we celebrated a huge milestone for Lachie Miners — 500 parkruns AND 250 volunteer credits 🎉👏

What made it even more special was having 155 participants and 16 amazing volunteers join us for the morning. 🙌

Congratulations Lachie! Here’s to many more Saturday mornings, plenty of laughs and lots more kilometres! 🥳🏃‍♂️

We've got a lot to celebrate!!

What a morning for Gatton’s parkrun!

Tara’s 500th parkrun was celebrated with 134 finishers, a tribe of Vollies and plenty of spectators.

To recap for those who missed the run brief today, here are some stats of Tara’s parkrun journey.

*500 parkruns means turning up almost every Saturday for a decade and accumulates to 2500 parkrun kilometres!
* her journey started when Gatton parkrun was born in 2013
*furtherest parkrun completed from home is Princes parkrun in Liverpool England
*most parkruns in a year was 44 in 2023
*has a vollie ratio of 58%
*has also volunteered an astounding 355 times all up for 293 credits (111 of these are for being Run Director)
*favourite parkrun is East End parkrun in New Plymouth NZ

Gatton parkrun is so pleased Tara chose to do her milestone with us today and we thank you for everything you do as our ED to keep our parkrun functioning. We do know that you keep coming back also for the post run coffee 😉

The friendships and laughter we’ve shared over the last 13 years is so valued, here’s to many more years and parkruns finished!

On another note we are missing token number 11, if you were given that number and finished in 9th position today (we had a mishap with the first two times in the app while even was in progress) please reach out to return the token to us.
