If you visit the Gatton/Lockyer Indoor Equestrian Centre, you will notice the bench seat and plaque in front of the timber stable block. This is in honour of Cam McDonald, a Life Member Of LIEC. Cam had the role of Centre Manager for many many years and looked after the centre as it was his own. Much of what we have to is attributed to Cam. Anyone that knew him, will still be able to hear him say "KEEP OFF THE GRASS".

Moving your horse? Don't forget the movement record! 🐎📝

The recent Hendra virus case is a timely reminder of the importance of movement records.

We need to be able to quickly trace where infected horses have been and other horses that may be at risk of exposure.

📍In Queensland, a movement record must be created every time a horse moves off a property and kept for 2 years. All Queensland horse owners must be registered with us and complete the movement record before the animal is moved.

It is time for Gatton show! The facility will not be available for hire from 5.00pm Thursday 10th July till Monday the 21st July.

This is your opportunity to own a piece of history. The infamous yellow tarp which graced the western wall of the Equestrian Centre is looking for a new home.

During its tenure, this tarp was a conversation piece and achieved widespread notoriety.

Convert it into a Slip N Slide for the children, a storm cover for your float or the options are open to you.

Bookings for Individual/private arena hire will be available via Nominate for Monday-Thursday. Fridays, Saturday and Sundays maybe available on a case-by-case basis and will be advertised as such on this page. Phone and bookings will no longer be applicable. Your first point of contact whilst transitioning to Nominate is Kathy on 0413054182 or Wendy on 0428621744. No doubt there will be some teething problems initially so please be patient with us as we try to streamline the system for the benefit of all.
