OFFICIAL BOAT CHRISTENING the " JULIE UNDERWOOD double scull
It was a glorious morning for the official boat Christening of our latest boat, a slick red doublescull. The "Julie Underwood". Julie has been attending the club with her family for 20years and in that time Julie has rowed competitively and won State and National titles. Julie and her husband David have supported their children Amy and Broughton to learn the skill of rowing at the club too. Julie's contribution is greater than just her skills on the water, as she mentors newer rowers, has the title of Club Vice Captain, is involved on the committee of the club and is a support with our local school rowing program. The purchase of the new double scull was made possible by a grant from the NSW Government under the Community Building Partnershop Program, with local MP Justin Clancy attending this special occasion. Mr Clancy spoke on how important community groups like Corowa Rowing Club are, and we could not agree more. Special thanks to committee member Liz Sandow who obtatined the grant for the club.

ROWING VICTORIA GALA NIGHT
On the weekend members of Corowa Rowing club attended Rowing Victoria Hall of Fame and Gala awards at Albert Park Lake , Melbourne.
It was a fun opportunity to brush off the mud of the Murray River and dress up to celebrate this black tie dinner event.
We celebrated 3 outstanding awards and recognition of our clubs contribution to rowing .
Imogen Wragge won female rower of the year with Eily Taylor runners up.
We had 4 female grade rowers in the top 5.
and congratulations to Wes Canny who won Coach of the year. We believe Wes should win every year but now we can share our acknowledgement of our favourite coach with the rest of Victoria.

Congratulations Darren! Finishing the World Rowing Masters Regatta campaign with a GOLD in the mixed D quad! 🥇

Fantastic result - just adding to the two second places in the mixed D double scull and D single scull. 👏👏👏
