Some highlights of our shortened 2019/ 20 rowing season.
To start wahgunyah rowing clubs season was a trip to the bendigo regatta where the club came had wins to start the season off in a great way.
Next up was the head of the Goulburn where wahgunyah teamed up with yarrawonga rowing club to row to a close second in the coxed four.
We celibrated christmas by holding our Saturday sesh christmas party at the rowing sheds with pizza and live music keeping everyone entertained for the afternoon.
The next regatta for the club was the local m.r.a regatta at lake moodemere. This year wahgunyah rowing club ran the coffee, bar and raffle with all three proving very successful all weekend, the additional marquee and the bar from the rowing sheds set up at the lake proved to be a big hit amongst all the rowers and spectators.
I'm the water at the moodemere regatta the club found success on Sunday with Bryce stones and Joel tyrrell winning the open coxless pair victorian sprint championship.
Our rowers continued training for the later regatta in the season but unfortunately covid put an end to all activities and the rowing season had to do finish early.
We would like to thank all the members of Wahgunyah rowing club and everyone who helped out during the season, and a big thanks to our sponsors Waldron's fresh and celebrations wahgunyah for their support
