UPDATE: Marine scientists estimate that the eastern Australian humpback whale population surged past 50,000

This might be the best news story in the ocean 🌊 from just 500 survivors in 1979. 🥲 Hearts are so full!

Seeing them cruise past on a whale watching trip can be super emotional when you know what this population has been through.

We’re out there at 9am and 11am every day - perfect winter activity for the whole family, or solo! If you’re a photographer, these trips are going to be amazing for you too!

Come say hi to the whales!

This is the trip you’ve been putting off because international dive travel feels complicated or expensive ✈️ and we want to change that!

$4,395 per diver includes SO MUCH:
Return flights from Sydney, to Manila, to Dumaguete + Transfers.
8 nights - 1 NIght in Manila to start
7 Nights in 5-star Atmosphere resort.
10 dives including Nitrox.
Two Apo Island trips.
Whale shark swim at Oslob.
Reefs absolutely stacked with life.
3x Massages for non-divers (included)
1x Massage for Divers included

There’s more but there’s a lot to write haha!

Atmosphere Resort in the Philippines is the kind of place that makes you wonder why you waited so long. And going as a group it makes the whole experience even better!!

Non-divers and snorkellers are just as welcome.
Massages, resort pool, whale shark encounters (whale sharks for non divers too!) there’s plenty to love above the surface too.

May 2–11, 2027. 11 months until we board the plane!!

Reach out if you have any questions - we are SUPER excited about this trip!!!

Ever wondered where they’re all going? 🐋 Every June the entire east coast humpback population packs up and heads north past Coffs. The mums are heading for warmer water to give birth, because their newborn calves don’t have the body fat to handle the chilly Southern Ocean ❄️

What about the boys? Are they being lazy?
Nah... They make the trip too... for ‘other reasons’ 😉 We even see “heat runs” where the males chase and compete for the females. It really is one big whale winter holiday ☀️

They’re passing us right now on the way north, and from August they’ll begin their cruise back south with their brand new calves in tow 🐳 THIS is when we start our whale swims. The whales are a little slower coming back down with their bubs, and the young ones like to stop and play!

Swipe through for the full story, and if you want to see the migration for yourself we’re out there at 9am and 11am.

Drop a 🐳 in the comments and we’ll send you the link and let you know what dates are looking best!

It’s not too late to book on for Whale Watching this weekend at 9am or 11am either day! Some images from the experiences we shared this week. Whale season is truly here and it’s started with a bang and a mugging!

We can’t wait for tomorrow’s encounters!

There’s something about the FIRST whales of the season. 🌊 That’s this weekend June 13 & 14 🐋

Weather’s looking spectacular, with 9am and 11am sessions both running. You’ll enjoy 90 minutes on the water on our fast boat (an adventure in itself!) 🚤

You will see whales usually in the first few minutes - especially if we can see them breaching in the distance, our boat gets to them fast which means you get to spend a lot of time with these magnificent creatures as they briefly stop to play on route to warmer water to give birth. 🐳

We will also run a small educational session on board, and bring any questions you have! We love to answer them! 📚

This weekend is a fantastic opportunity for the whole family - all ages are welcome! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We are so excited for this one after a long stretch of not-so-favourable conditions. If whale watching is on your list for this season, we HIGHLY recommend jumping on the boat this weekend!!!

Chris Wood on his PADI Freediver pool session absolutely smashing it last week! Emma has the top static breath hold time of 2:31. Remarkable efforts! Have you considered learning to freedive?!

World Oceans Day gave us the gift of FINALLY getting back in the water and it was SUCH a great day out! 12+ Grey Nurses, loggerhead turtle, 21C and 15m+ visibility! 😍 The whale watching boat also went out, and saw the first of the humpbacks travelling North for birthing season 🌊

Join us next weekend for more dives and whale watching (or mid-week if you can take a sickie!)

We hope you’ve all enjoyed your day off, and we can’t wait to see you on the boat for either diving or whale watching along Coffs Harbour and South Solitary Island soon!
